What does this Mean To You?

Sew I have been trying to learn.. Why just because I love old fabric and love the color of thread running through fabric, with words of poetry written on the old worn fabric..No it will not be perfect, but it is what I want it to be..Just like me imperfect but with inner beauty....LOL...
So you ask why this little tiny tie and the words Tie On One..If you are from the south there is a saying He or She really tied one on..Which means really had too much to drink...

No, this is not what this one means..First I love ties, I collect them mostly vintage and strange.
I wear them sometimes.
TIE
is really a strong word and to put around ones neck and to tie it on.
You are creating a bond. To unite in a relationship where it be of Love or Friendship. You are making a connection of two things. An attachment..
So many words can relate to the word tie.. So to me it is just a symbol of Life..
Tie
Bond
Bind
Connect
Attach
Unite
All these words are needed where it be in friendship or Love. Which really are just one word created into one.

Have a good week and tie one on and see how it feels..

Hi Katelen, hope all is okay. I love ties too. I have some of my dads ties and I have worn ties in the past. I like the one I find at the second hand stores and they are very reasonable. I like your meaning of "Tie." Have a great week.

I love how you connected to the TIE and all the words that could be 'tied' to a tie-- sorry I couldn't resist the pun.. great post!

you are so brave! along with soldering, I want to dig out a sewing machine I have in the basement so I can incorporate it into projects. Love the tie - I've heard the reference to drinking but I caught a sense of honor in your design... can't explain?!

I must admit, tying one on is a drinking term for me but I enjoy the company of my friends at my bar so much that having a few beers and good conversation are a must almost every day.

I love how you write about the meaning of TIE for you. And because english isn't my mothertongue i have no common meaning feelings for the word. To connect, bind, attach is great, and for now i see it this way. thank you. :-)
