For I say I am not a winter time person.
So why do I enjoy walking outside to feel the cold touch my face.
Kissing and clinging to my hands.
To take the steps directly into the wind letting it take my breath away.
To see the earth's ground covered in white of the first frost .
Taking those steps onto the crisp ground to hear the sound of walking on the stars in the winter time .
Enjoy your Sunday, here in this part of the world there is a chill in the air.
May you always dream in color,
Katelen

There is something so refreshing about walking on a clear crisp day. Especially coming back to a warm home, fireplace burning and some soup simmering on the back burner.
I think because I live in the south, and don't get many days where it is unbearably cold I enjoy it. I for one would like to see more snow!!
I love the first snow! It's a great feeling to walk around in it! Your sketch is lovely Katelen!
Katelen.... I just started with Linkedin. Not sure what I think yet. It'll probably be like everything else and take me awhile to get going on it. It's easy to join however!
Hi there Katelen, I so enjoyed our first snow of the season and the second, but last night we had freezing rain that left a blanket of ice all over the decks, yard and streets...very hazardous so much so that even Church was cancelled!! Looking out it was like seeing crystals all over..kinda kewl!!! Loved your Sunday Sketch hon, and does that little bunny live in the house with you??? love it!!!

It's a wonderful sketch, and so fits your description of the weather!
Your Mom has a great sense of humor,,my Mom often said well digger's belt buckle,,,when the grandkids were around.
:-)
Lovely, lovely work and poetry, Katelen.
don't like the cold much-- grew in Hawaii-- but now live where it gets very cold-- but your words are lovely and reflect your love of the cold on your face and hands
I guess it depends on my purpose for being out in the cold. A walk could be refreshing.
Cool sketch.
actually the cold is great...for about 4 minutes and then I'm ready to go back inside....
I'm such a weenie....
but in the early spring, I brave the cold looking for life !!
thanks for stopping by :)
