Here I Sit

This is just a piece done on paper. A mix media piece. You might want to click on to see the colors. It is really hard to capture the coppers and silvers..
Below is just a close up the messenger.

I can not believe it has been a month since I have posted. So much going on in my life, yet not worth sharing. It would be all rude, dark and depressing and who wants to hear that. NO ONE..
So I have stayed away. I have stopped in on a few of you and left a comment or two..I am sorry to say I have not done much of that either..

So I will leave you with a few words.

We need to accept fear and anger with a genuine loving-kindness for ourselves, and then let them go. If you suppress them, the attachment nurtures their roots. It is all right to let it come and let it go.

I am trying to let it go.

Love and Peace.

Your piece communicates well where you've been lately. I know it gets harder the deeper we go. Keeping you in my thoughts. Letting go is hard. We go as we can, and little by little, we get to the point where we've reached new ground.

Hi friend. This quote came to mind.

"The tears streamed down, and I let them flow as freely as they would, making of them a pillow for my heart. On them it rested."
-St. Augustine

being in the midst of struggle is hard. please remember God is working even when you don't see or feel it.

Much love to you!

I'm glad you are creating some art. this is beautiful!

Welcome back. We are pretty forgiving around here for being away. I understand not always feeling like I have something to say that people want to hear.

Happy Saturday to you

Wonderful, rich piece, would love to see those deep tones in person. Love what you wrote for I can identify with that horrid process, letting go when you didn't want to let go to begin with! It's a heck of a road, and a process of layers.
Take care..

i've missed you. I love this piece. but I like crows- this one seems to be picking at ...something. you know you can share your crap too.. we are still here. i'm still here. i think you're enchanting. is that weird to say to another girl?? sometimes i dream of meeting you and some other girls (when I say girls, I really mean middle age women but i'm from the south, okay??)in a coffee shop or somewhere cool and just doing a collaborative piece. wouldn't that be awesome!

Hi Katelen I love that piece of art you've done...gorgeous. When I am going thru troubled times I remember my Lord is right inside me...so to be quiet and listen for he will guide you thru it!!! (((gentle hugs)))

Hello Katelen,
This is such a lovely work...so rich looking I am surprise to hear it is on paper. It feels semi-sculptural.
It was nice to hear from you and I am glad to see you checking back in. We have to let things come and go :)
Have a wonderful weekend. xxx Mary Ann

Dear Katelen,
i love your beautiful bird waiting in the dark till it's time to fly to bright daylight.

Sorry to hear that you have such a hard time. Sorry also for responding so late, but life wasn't so nice for me also lately.
T let go can be very difficult sometimes, but it's a precious gift to yourself if you manage to let go.....

Take good care of yourself dear lady, big hug and xoxo Monica
