Do You Think I will ever Sale????? Or will I put another piece on my own Wall

This is 24x24 on wood.. This has been one that I would work on and set aside..I would add a layer and then I knew I should just sit it aside and wait..It did not feel right..Finally the moment came and I knew it was complete so I signed it...Title is" Protection"....We all want to feel protected and safe from different things.
For some it is pain and from some it is just fear of different things, and others it is depression..We all have our reasons..
Then there are other people who want to protect...As a mother wants to protect her children  and then there is God who wants to protect us all and keep us safe near him. To keep us from harm and evil..

The light is terrible in the shot and I know you can not see the color  I hope you can see it enough.

I hardly ever sale anything..I just want to keep them because of fear and also we put so much of our self into our art.  It is not like I do not need the money..lol..  I just suppose I am protecting my self from the fear of being rejected as an artist.. FEAR is a terrible word and Protection is such a wonderful word..

Enjoy your week and I hope for protection to all and may it keep your fears  and troubles away.

Blessings,
Katelen

You are not alone with this battle. I remember feeling this way and still do at times, but it also good for our growth to put it out there..I think : )

Hope all is well with you and that you Mom is doing well. I love the pix of her with her little family pet member. You can see that she loves him/her very much. Take care and let me know the price.

By the way, I love the title.

Your paintings are always so powerful.

It is a flying leap to sell something we've worked so hard on and poured our self. I guess we just build a tougher skin - another layer of protection.

Your creation is wonderful. It's not easy for some artists to risk putting their art on the market and then there are others who don't a a bit of talent that have no trouble hustling their stuff. Go figure :O) It looks like you have a buyer eager to own your art. Go for it!

Katelen your paintings always seem to come straight from your heart and what you are experiencing. That's hard to part with. And yes, the fear of rejection. Me too! But I think I am going to step out of that fear and see what happens.

I would love to see this in better light.

Love to you my friend!

Katelen,

I think it is a special gift when you can paint from the heart like you do. That is a special gift. I sometimes take way too much time thinking about what I am going to paint and it steals away from the moment that I could just be painting what I feel. I understand the fear of rejection thing too. Keep on keepin on because you are going to make it through. I love the quote: "Do it afraid!"

I found your blog through Mary's at
Splended Adventure.

Fear and protection have a complicated relationship Katelen. Sometimes fear is present to truly protect us...other times it becomes a comfort in a strange way because it is familiar, even though it holds us back from fully shining our light into the world. You are not at all alone in this. Just remember, it takes tremendous courage to post your art and write from your heart on your blog! You can be courageous and experience fear at the same time, in fact it would be foolish not to feel a little fear each time we act with courage. I think most days, just getting out of bed is an act of courage and faith...contemplating our fears while still lying in bed is courageous too.

You are safer and braver than you realize, give yourself some credit and compassion, you deserve this from yourself, you really truly do!

Hi Katelen, You have evoked some fabulous comments from your friends here! I hope you realize how amazing you and your art are, inspiring others this way!
Perhaps there is still something in your paintings that you need to learn, before they go off into the world to be with others? When you have finished your conversation with them, you will be ready to sell them and they will find their way out into the world.
I really am drawn to the soft quality and subtle use of color in Protection. It soothes me, providing me with the protection of peaceful comfort and calm - thank you, xoxo Karin

I can see your deep spirit in this piece. When I stare at it, I see and think of a tear drop being cradled and cared for even as chaos spirals around it.
