Looking Inside

I looked too close and got a look at what was inside.
It was not a place I wanted to see.
It was dark and the pain hit so hard.
My heart stopped and then it fell to the floor and shattered  into a million pieces.
The sound that came from my own body was the sound of a wounded animal.
Clawing and Fighting to Get out.
This is what happens
When you look inside of another human being
To realize your own life of Love and Trust is nothing but Lies.

that was raw and gripping. getting real with ourselves and others can sometimes be very stark and bold like the prose you've presented.

Ah Katelen we are never one thing completely ... or the other. Shades of grey exsist in all aspects of our characters and lives. I love the intensity of this writing. I saw also your post about pathways (because I use Reader which seems to store posts regardless of you deleting them). I loved the photo and underlying theme of hope.

Wishing you a very Happy Easter. xx Jos

Hi katelen,

How have you been? Keeping you in my thoughts.

Also, you had asked me to let you know the next time a group project came up.

I just signed up for the Sketchbook Project 2012. They don't return the artwork, so this time, I'll be sending in a printed version. I'll be doing a post soon on the project.
