LIGHT OF HOPE

Another shot from a day searching through old houses that have been abandoned and left to it's memories. PLEASE CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE THE BEAUTY OF THIS OLD HOUSE.

This house stands hollow and empty.
The light filters through the window giving the room light and shadows.
Mostly shadows, but shadows are not those of darkness and fear.
This room is peaceful and silent.
The light brings beauty into the room casting light upon the floor, touching the broken glass giving a sparkle of hope to this old house.
.As is life we all need the light to come through the window giving us the hope of sparkle.
May you always dream in color.

... and there is a color of hope in the green out the window.

The house is beautiful. Look at the wood plank siding and ceiling. It makes me sad to see old houses so neglected.

And you are so right, we all need the light to shine on us, to illuminate the darkness.

Blessings!!

FAB-U-LOUS...all the details are perfect, the ceiling boards coming through, the shattered glass, torn curtain, view out the window.
and the strength of the image speaks clearly, your words add even more detail.
very, very nice.

This photo truly does speak to the light of hope.
How I'd love to spend days on end, investigating and discovering houses such as this. Oh, the stories locked up inside these walls!
Thank you, Katelen,,,

Such a lovely photo...full of hope and light and I see a history, memories, voices and even music. This home has it's own story to tell.

Hi Katelen (hope I spelled that correctly.) I just received your comment re: Laurie Doctor - yes - isn't she inspiring...I loved her recitations of Pablo Neruda, etc.
I see she's teaching in Santorini this year and I believe Italy - I am tempted!

Lovely photo - the way the light drips off the curtains is splendid.

Love this shot! What a great eye, the lighting is perfect, surreal. I'm enjoying your blog, very drawn to your words and all they express. Like this line, "there are times in life when we can see better with our eyes closed." That's a truth that echos in my heart right now.
