The Shepherd does it For Love

I am but one single sheep but I am not afraid. Why because I know my Shepherd. I know his voice and I listen to his voice. Did you know  the Good Shepherd calls his sheep by name.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Are you a lost sheep? Are you looking for green pastures and quiet waters that will restore you.
There is a Great Shepherd looking for you and He comes to guide you and protect you. Only one person can walk with us through death's dark valley and bring us safely to the other side.It is the God of life, our shepherd.
The Great Shepherd our Lord and Savior Jesus.  He knows you by name.

Because the Lord is my shepherd, I want for nothing.
I just read through your beautiful blog and caught up on posts I've missed. You have such a heart for the Savior, and if He chose favorites, I know you would be one.
I'm glad He loves us all and treats each one as He would that one lost sheep.

Amen, Katelen!
And that Shepherd is MIGHTY!

ps~ I added a video of "In Christ Alone" to my last post. Beautiful performance with choir, but the song's beautiful in any setting.

Love this verse. It was one of my Grandmother's favorites. She knew the bible by memory, front to back. It's all she did, all her life. Pray and study the bible. Thanks for sharing.
