This is two in one...So to speak I created the assemblage first and hung it on a wall in my studio and I keep looking at it.
So it inspired me to paint the picture..It is again a small piece on a wood.. Just wood that they use to build homes.
They are building a new house next door, so I visit the dump pile of wood and I am thinking green and using the small pieces of wood. It is about 6x6..
There are so many birds in our yard. We have several bird feeders. My mom loves to watch them since she is not able to do anything..I think God knows she enjoys them. She has blue and red and yellow and all kinds of birds outside her windows.. It is wonderful to see them flying around..It makes you believe that you can do anything if you just believe. The baby birds, they sit and think about flying and then they just decide to take off and they fly..So I think if we all just believe today we can fly. We can, OK that is a metaphor..You can do anything as long as you believe in your self..We all have invisible wings, so use them and Believe in your self. OK Lets spell it together B E L I E V E.....
May you always dream in color,
Katelen

I do believe that we can do anything we put our mind (and heart) to....thank you for reminding me.
Both of your art pieces are beautiful. What great inspiration. And I love that you're recycling throw-away wood.
When my husband was really ill during a year of intense chemo therapy he would lie in bed watching the birds on the feeders outside the window. They played a huge part in his healing. Lovely post,Katelen. I'm enjoying looking at your art.
Gorgeous assemblage, I love those wings!! Being positive during painful times is the best option, even if it is difficult at times. I also find the Birds are so healing :)
This post and your art are terrific! When my sister-in-law was suffering from cancer, she loved to watch the birds outside her window, too.
I really love your attitude about things!
Nice work. :)
Yes, BELIEVE. Always. Your artwork makes me smile.
Very moving post! Thank you for the reminder and inspiration. These two art pieces are wonderful.
