The Strength of Three

This is 12x15 on Arches water color paper.. Mixed Media. The first one I could not get the true color.. So on the second I just brought it in on the main subject so you could get a better view. You still need to click on the second one to get a better view..
Three's seem to be surrounding me and my thoughts lately. I worked in my studio today, which is near my Mom. She was sleeping a lot today and today was not a good day for her..So when she slept, I created and this is what I did.. I had to create today.. I did several pieces today.. I am not saying they were all good but I had to be busy with my creation and my creator.
I am afraid. My Mom is getting so fragile and she is struggling to breathe. She sleeps and dreams and I am not sure she knows which is real any more..I explain to her she is dreaming and she says Ok.. She seems to understand at the moment and then it is lost..
The one thing about aging is how they are so child like..She giggles like a little girl and it is beautiful. She is trusting me just as a child does..She depends on me taking care of everything.
The thing is I can not take care of everything. I can not make her better.. So I have to let God take care of her. I have to have faith and at the moment, I am struggling..
Struggling for strength .
This piece to me is about Asking for Strength. And Strength comes in 3's...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Thank you all for visiting my blog and listening to my stories and giving me comments on my art and for your prayers.

As I'm losing my mom too, I can well understand struggling and being afraid, but you have the added challenge of caring for her as well. That must be so difficult. I hope you find the strength you need and more. This is a beautiful piece!

Katelen, of course you are struggling! This is a difficult, difficult time in your life. It has to be hard to become the "mother" and your mother become the "child" There is really nothing to say that will make that easier...only keep remembering, (I say keep, because you do know):) that you are not alone. God will give you the strength you need for each day, not before. Keep creating, it is a way of release and communication to your soul and to God.

Blessings dear Katelen!

Hugs for you and Mom!

Katelen, I am sending you many prayers. I am very touched by your descriptions of your Mom, mine was very similar when I was taking care of her: Childlike and trusting.
You are stronger than you think you are.
The angel is lovely, too.

Lovely post and I thank you for your thoughtful and caring words, and the message of 3. My mother is finding her child self also. I wish I could paint in the room next to her instead of having phone calls which are dear, but not like touch.

Your painting is beautiful. It feels very calm and serene....I like the colors you used.

I hope you find peace concerning your mother. It can't be easy for you having to become the parent for her.

Katelen my heart goes out to you and your mom. I can only imagine the difficulty it brings. Isnt it somewhat odd that when we get older we get more and more like we were when we entered this world .. that is so true in so many ways! God knows your heart and he is looking after your mom too!!

I will pray that you are shown the strength to maintain your faith .. your right about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!! {{ big hugs }}

I'm so glad you have your art as your stress relief and means for communicating your feelings. Hang in their girl. You are brave to care for your mother the way you are. That is awesome! HUGS!

Using art as a medium to find your strength is such a beautiful way to cope with your feelings, and I know that your faith will guide you through this time in your life. It is a such a blessing to be able to care for your mother in the loving way that you are, but it is stressful and exhausting nonetheless. It is obvious that you have the gift for celebrating all that life brings you, and this is a rare gift indeed. My prayers are with you and your mother.

Love,
Alberta
