Coming Out of the Fog And Learning to Forgive.

Walking the fields of life and sometimes we have to wait until the fog lifts to see our way.

These are a couple of my photo shots. I have not been in my studio nor have I been posting.
I have been in a fog and I think it is beginning to lift. I have realized in 2010, God has a lot of faith in me..He says he will not give us anything we can not handle. He also has brought me to not only to my knees but brought me down to earth. He said Forgive . I said I do not think I can. He said Matthew 6 14/15...For if you forgive men of their wrong doing your heavenly Father will also forgive you.. I said I do not think I can.. He said but if you can not forgive, neither will your heavenly Father.
So I am learning to forgive.
Tomorrow I will learn again.
Sorry I have not been visiting and I hope soon to start working in my studio. Life takes us where we need to be. To make us who we are to become.
May you always dream in color,
Katelen

true. every day we learn, and sometimes relearn.
you haven't been in your studio, but processing what keeps you away.
the metaphor of the fog is perfect, and these photographs could not be lovelier!
look at that gentle breath of vapor
lifting your spirits with it.

Welcome back Katelen, it's good to see you, here's hoping things will get better for you soon. Since my word for the year is "travel", I will actually be out of town -- leaving tonight for Washington, D.C., returning in the middle of the night Saturday -- and will look forward to seeing more of your fine words and images then. Love the fine nebulous misty fog in the field.

Hi darlin, glad to see a post from you.
Forgiveness is a hard thing, because our feelings don't always match our desire to do so. Really what is forgiveness??? It's not saying the thing that needs to be forgiven never happened. It's saying I give up my right to hurt you for hurting me. This has helped me a lot, knowing that if I begin here, God will do the changing in my heart to enable me to eventually feel differently toward the person who wronged me, to be able to love that person without reserve.

Your photos are beautiful Katelen, as is your heart!

Hugs!!

Greetings Katelen,

Forgiveness is very healing. Once I forgave my mother for the many years of abuse, I was able to start on the road of healing and though the wounds are still present, the burden of anger has no longer been part of my life.

Warmest regards,
Egmont

"tomorrow I will learn again",,,how true that is.I think it's something we have to learn with each new trial. And each time we do we become stronger.
Gorgeous photos that so beautifully reflect your thoughts.
It always lifts, doesn't it?

your metaphor of the fog is so descriptive of the feeling of the grudge. I always remember that forgiveness does not condone behavior, it merely releases the burden of our own weighty feelings. and it allows us to move forward in wholeness.

Dear Katelen, your photos are so mournfully beautiful to me - that misty white blanket always leaves me feeling a nostalgia for I don't know what! But a sense of sorrow and longing tend to accompany fogs for me.
Forgiveness - such a powerful process. My heart cracked right open when I finally got it through my head, and heart, that the act of forgiveness was for me to give the gift of love and freedom to myself - unbinding the ties I'd knotted and secured to those that harmed me! I had to realize that none of the severe abuses my body endured, nor my ears heard, truly touched ME. The deep center of my soul was unharmed, and with this knowledge I was able to forgive.
I wish for you the gift of unconditional love through forgiveness,
Karin

I love foggy photos - mine turn out that way even when there is no fog. I am not a particularly religious person, but I do believe if your awareness of things spiritual is constant, THAT is the condition of not being tempted beyond what you can endure. If we fall out of alignment with these 'higher' intentions, we have no assurance.

Beautiful photos to blend with such a powerful message. You have to forgive to free yourself of anger and hatred. We forgive for ourselves.

I've been pondering the very same thing. Thinking a lot about "debts." Forgiving the debts owed us - our own indebtedness is forgiven - and "owe nothing to anyone but the debt of love." Forgiveness seems to me to be a key that unlocks prison doors.

Forgiveness is so hard to do, so it is understanding that it takes time.

Beautiful photos that really communicate where you must be now in this process.

Good to see you again!

Beautiful images, and what a beautiful, transparent post. "tomorrow I will learn again" Sometimes it's every minute. Good thing our God is so patient with us. He doesn't require more than that you say "I want to forgive" Lidy

Hi Katelen, glad you found me and to hear that your fog is lifting. I recently had to forgive too which is so hard! Why do we hold on so tight to the slights when the sun shines on us every day and is so forgiving of us?
Thank you for this wonderful post and stopping by to say hi! Hope we keep in touch and looking forward to seeing more of your work!

this lifting fog is awesome and spiritual and what a divine appointment that put you there. your wonderful thoughts about forgiveness took me to a dreadful time in my life.. actually years of being angry but His love brought me back around and i laid it all at His feet, and He took me to a better place. He set my feet on higher ground.
