Dreams and Fears

For our dreams sometime haunt us. Dreamers and believers of dreams when they awake and recall the dreams. I pick up the pen to recall my dreams seeing them and remember the fear of them and the not knowing what they mean to us.. Traveling at the speed of light locked inside trying to get out realizing I am alone and trapped. ..Then we come unto another fear the door and not knowing what is behind it and when we do enter the rain is pouring down so hard and we can not see only feel the darkness and feel the cold of the rain that is soaking our body..Walking toward nothing but hoping for peace and light..Then until we realize I am dreaming, wake up, wake up..Is dawn..Your are traveling in the spirit world..

This piece is titled Spirit...It is a dream and sometimes our dreams are fears. Fears are large at times and they make the night long when we are traveling in the Spirit World of the Unknown.

May your dreams be of peaceful things but when they are not and are filled with fear..Just realize I am dreaming...Wake UP....And hope it is just a dream.

The sound fear,
the door with no knob.
Rain,Rain,Rain.

I enjoyed reading this post and relating it to your painting. Very nice. I've always felt that our dreams are our everyday happenings, thoughts and wishes. Trying to analyze my dreams has led me to believe that. The spirt world...I like that.

Katelen, just remember that you are not alone in the darkness. And that you are loved, completely, and always!!

Love you!

This is a beautiful post... lovely painting, too. I love waking up and having a dream freshly brought to my attention. I have such odd dreams sometimes. My mom used to always ask, what did you eat before bed?? haha

The colors in this piece are so calming, yet they are transposed against the black lines of what reminds me of dark silouhettes in the forest. Your words seem to say the same things- that our dreams and our fears are so closely related. Hold tight to an anchor that never changes - for me that is my faith- and then my fears cannot overwhelm me. You are a brave and beautiful soul.

Dreams, dreamscapes -- we carry them around in our pockets like so many rough stones that grate and scrape our skin -- take those energies and create, create, create!
