SMALL TOWN GOSSIP

Another small piece done on canvas. Ever lived in a small town? This is for all you girls who have lived in those small towns. You know how it works. Everyone loves to gossip or the quote I used came from my mom the old saying..DISH THE DIRT.....I used this small cute animal we know as humble. Yet when this donkey or Ass as people may call it. When he opens his mouth this loud and terrible sounds comes out.. Just like gossip.. Also the ears help .. Big Ears are always listening.. I hope you enjoy the humor of this piece..
The sad thing of this most of the time the one that is spreading the word is the Ass..OK..
I hope I did not offend by using the A word.. It is that it the only way I could express this piece.
There are wonderful things about small towns, and wonderful people. It just the other ones that I ask Why?
So that is why I live in the city, so most people really don't care about what you are doing. So I will do a piece on that some day..Life is always full of inspiration..LOL...LOL

May you always dream in color,
Katelen

That's a cool painting. I know just what you mean about small towns, having grown up in one. I do like the anonymity of city life, having lived in one of those too.

Now I live in a medium size city that is kind of cosmopolitan, and it feels like a nice balance for this "country come to town" girl. :-D

Love your painting and sense of humor, Katelen! Funny how the gossipy types tend to gravitate to small towns.... birds of a feather :-)

yes, a sad phenomena, I worked in a small town for peace, but ran out of my workplace one day and never went back. The married with 2.5 minivan drivers have a mask on and prey on other women for entertainment openly. I am now afraid of all women and saddened by what happens to you when you can stay home and take care of your children in a safe community. Must be the great granddaughters of the women who did not want emancipation. P.H.D.'s in scorn, parasite/host relationships.
