The Key and the Door

This is a small mixed media piece. It is made out of a box that came in the mail with junk info. Yet it turn out to be the perfect thing to use for this. Above you see the cover and you open it up and this is what you will see..
It is in my house sitting on a table with antique door knob plates. I love old antique pieces they put so much more pride in the detail and quality.

Enjoy your week and remember You hold the key that opens the door.
May you always dream in color.

Katelen, how cool is this piece!!!
I love it sitting next to the old door knob - just perfect with it.

Most of my old doors have those glass knobs, except they keep falling off!!! We keep tightening them, but they just loosen up again. I hate to replace them, they are so pretty!!! :)

How weird that we both posted about keys today - different kinds, but still a coincidence. I love old keys and door knobs. I have those glass kind throughout my house. I had to boil and use paint-remover on the brass underparts, but it was so worth it. I love your mixed media pieces.

ACK! I just wrote a three-paragraphed comment, my first ever and it got gobbled up or do you have comment moderation? I shall return later to check. Thanks.

Aaaw man! You do not have comment moderation since my second comment got published. Let me recap...

I like your unique name, I was thinking if I was pronouncing it correctly like Kate-lin with a schwa sound.

You are a full brain practitioner with your left brain and right brain in action with your art.

Loved looking through your eyes...

Oh I like your sidebar tribute to your Mom.

I see that you and I walked the same paths to Winnipeg and were in the same room with Renee, how come we never said hello before?

Perhpas you missed the No housework Day but let's celebrate Chocolate Day, not sure when it is but I know there is such a day.

Love the key to the door! Beautiful art.
I have bid on a saddle chair on ebay, so hopefully won't be to long before I test this chair out. Probably good to show a little video on it, see how I feel at first then after a few hours.
My hubby says that the chairs designed to help with back pain don't help him as it is his muscles that are damaged and not his spine.
The chairs are better for people with spine problems. Do you find this?
Be worth knowing if people with spine pain do get relief.

Hope youre having an amazing weekend!

Hugs!

Julie

How on earth did I miss seeing this until now! What a unique and arresting piece. And the quote on the front is perfect. Honestly I'm completely blow away by what you've created here. And to think not so long ago you weren't feeling very creative!
