I have my stars on the Floor

So this is no Van Gogh but it is my Starry Night on a Canvas Floor Rug.. I made this and it goes in front of my sink in my studio.. So every time I wash my brush I am standing on the stars.
One day I keep saying I will make a large canvas floor rug for my house but so many things to do in so little time..LOL
I am still not spending a lot of time in my studio.. I just do not have enough time it seems. I seem to be running from here to there and still not getting anything done.. Taking care of my Mom is a full time . One thing for sure is I am learning songs I never heard of.. My Mom can sing songs from the 30 and 40's. She listening to music a lot now.. She forgets so quickly what she was doing . So now she sits and remembers things from her past. Listening to music makes her happy.
Have a good week .
Always dream in color,
Katelen

I like your canvas rug. I've often thought about trying my hand at a floor cloth fut so far it hasn't happened. I completely understand about running from here to there and not getting anything done! It happens to me all the time.

The rug is wonderful and "standing on the stars" is so cool. I know just how you feel-I had the honor of taking care of my Mom, too. I'm sending prayers to you both.

Hi Katelen, glad you got a chance to go out and about today. Hmm, I wonder, were you sketching threes as I was painting threes??? :) I have a thing for threes! Oh, and my headache is mostly gone, must be all the prayers! Thanks sweetie.

Can't wait to see what you do with your threes!!

One of my favorite paintings!

I was in the Museum of Fine Art in NYC many summers ago, and was able to stare up close and personal at the origianl Starry Night! I felt a tap on my shoulder, and it was the curator! I was afraid he was going to tell me that I was WAY too close to the painting and breathing on it too much! :) But, he just wanted to let me know that he liked my outfit. LOL

I love it! functional art, keeps your feet warm, and you get to enjoy the fact that you created it :-)
We could all use more time, it seems like there is never enough time to get things done, and there is always something else we need to do first, before our art. It's wonderful that you are looking after your mom. I would love to know about 30's and 40's songs! What you are learning now, who knows, but you may be able to incorporate into your art one day. Do try and fit in time for yourself to recharge though...otherwise it is easy to become overwhelmed.
blessings,
betty
