FAMILY!!!!!!!!!

This is a collage piece done on canvas board using wax..The photograph is a transfer. I used from a suitcase of family photos but no one will claim them.LOL.. I do wonder who they are but time has passed and the history is lost.. To me they just looked like gamblers and so that is how I portrayed them.. I hope they would not be mad and think it funny that I see them in this way.
They probably were just good friends hanging out trying to look cool. You might want to click on this to get a better view.

So today was a busy day. My Mom wanted to go and pick out new finger nail polish. She loves to paint her nails and loves for me to paint them. So on our trip..I had to paint every finger on one hand a different color, so she could see how they looked..She choose lavender, blue and a pumpkin orange. It was so much fun to watch my mom smile . Now she wants me to go buy her shoes to match..LOL>> Want that be fun looking for shoes in those colors.
God blessed me again today by giving me memories to cherish.
So tomorrow I shall be painting but it will be fingers and toes..

LET IT GO

This is a piece done on birch panel 12x15 using acrylic. I have found in my art, there should be a meaning behind the piece instead of just painting . That is my way.. If I do not put thought and soul into it..It is just paint. When my feelings are involved then to me it becomes art..
I do not know if all artist feel this way but I have discovered for me it is true.
We hold onto things in our life. Things that make us sad or angry or just confused. We have to let them go..So for me I may not can let them go in my self but in art I can and that is a beginning. Art calms my soul and my thoughts. It is almost healing at times.

So if you are holding onto things that are stopping you from being who you really are. If there are things that are stopping you from taking those steps to a new journey. Then Sometime you just have to let it go..

I know the photo does not show this piece but sometimes it just hard to get the true color and depth. I am finally getting back into my studio and trying just to let things go and be my self.

Believers of Three

This piece is done in acrylic on canvas 12x15..When I did this piece I really did not what I was thinking.. I just stopped after a while and looked at it and said I think It is finished and I placed it up on the wall of shame that it is what I call it in my studio.. Since I want get out and try to sell my work.. I just share it with all you blogger's and lookers out in this world.. I am really getting to have to many pieces. So I need a lot bigger wall. Or should I try to sell?
So if you read my blog, you know I do believe in dreams and dreaming in color. So for awhile I have not been dreaming.. Reason not really for certain. Stress, Tired, Not really sleeping, what ever causes it..I am sure I could go into a scientific research but since I do not go there and stick to what I feel. I will continue in that directions. OK so I am talking and rambling..
Get to this piece and dreaming.. So have you ever dreamed a dream 3 times. The same people are in the dream and the same reason is behind the dream. Yet the surrounding is different. They say things happen in 3's. This piece supports the 3's.. Three suns and 3 large drops of paint that I spilled on the canvas and they just began to run. So I left them..LOL!!!.. That is how this piece was created..Remember the 3's.
So if you are a believer in 3's. You know who you are.
So what does this piece have any thing to do with my dream.. Nothing , maybe.
But it makes you think?

Open The Window

This is a piece I did a couple of years ago. It is a 5x7 on Canvas Board. It was published in one of SomerSet Studio Magazine Gallery Issues. You might want to click to get a better view.

It tells the story of how sometimes in our life there are people standing outside telling the world how they feel asking someone to listening to them. If we would just open the window to our hearts , we could hear a lot of voices asking for our help.. In this world we all at times seem not to notice that person on the sidewalk and we walk by without thinking. We close our hearts and are afraid to open that window.. Some because we have been hurt or some because we are just afraid.

Speaking for my self, I need to open up that window more and look around. I could be missing wonderful music coming from the street or missing the chance of meeting a new friend. Or missing the chance of a new journey.

So go ahead open up that window..You could be missing something special.

CLOUD WATCHING AND SKETCH BOOK

So I have been watching the clouds. I walked out my back door and what a beautiful sight.
God is Good. He can paint a beautiful sight without a brush..

So this is what I am doing sketching in my sketch book and this one is titled I AM NOT LISTENING..... To negative thoughts.. Or what ever I do not want to listen to..LOL.


I have not been going into my studio due to I just do not have the time or the energy. I did go up today and clean some things out.. I felt like there is to much clutter.. I am trying to simplify.


So just trying to clear my mind, let my soul find it's maker and listen. LISTEN to the POSITIVE.
Cloud watching and catching some beautiful shots..
Don't you just love when you walk out your back door and look up and see the beauty of what God has to share.

Waiting to Go Home

This a mix media piece 15x20 on canvas board..

This piece is done for Hope of the future..It is done for the animals and the people.. Who loose their home due to Forest Fires. and Fire. Fire sweeps in and destroys the Forest which belong to all the animals. One day they were enjoying life in a beautiful Forest and then the Fire came and either they perish or they escape.. The ones that are fortunate to get out. They stay close by waiting to go home. To start again to build their nests amongst the charred trees and hoping that some life remains under the ground. It is the true with humans, when our homes are being destroyed by fire..We stay close. Hoping something remains. Even if it is a small piece of things we cherish.. A photograph, a piece of china that belonged to a mother or grandmother.

So we pray and ask to please be careful with the dry summer months . Or at any time.. Fire is strong and Fierce and it destroys so quickly.

Yes Fire is a useful thing when handled the proper way.. So let's keep it that way..

Going Back To The First Door

If you look at my last post it explains why I am posting from the past.. It is a part of the Altered Page collaboration of looking back into a older post. If you look on Seth's Blog you will see a list of people who are part of this.. I choice this because I had just began my blog back in March 09.

Doors are a important thing in our lives. We can go up and knock and if no one answers. Most of them time we will either wait a few minutes and knock again. Then at this point if no one answers we walk away.. The thing about doors there are so many of them.. If you can not go through the first door, then do not give up..Go to the next DOOR. That could be the door that someone answers your knock and you can go through that door. The reason I am re posting this is to say..Sometimes we have to go back to the first door we knocked at to get our answers.

Life is a journey and we will go through many doors and sometimes you have to return to the first door and realize the answer was there all along behind the first door.. It just wasn't time for the door to be opened.

Listen the Wind Is Speaking to You.

This is a mix media piece 12x15..

It was done on canvas fabric with a photo transfer.. Then I applied it to a canvas. It is just a piece that hangs in my studio. It reminds me to stop and look up and take time to listen to the wind when it is sharing the secrets of it's words.. I love the sound of the wind. It sometimes whispers to you softly and then at times it screams at you to get your attention. What I love most of all about the wind, It makes the trees dance..There is nothing more beautiful in nature to listen to the wind sing and watch the trees dance.

This is a piece I have had..I am still stuck in a place where I can not create..It is a bad place for me. I suppose I should just relax and spend more time with God..Maybe he is telling me, we need more time together..So I should listen to him because he is the creator of the wind.

The Two Things In My Life that Can Wake Me Up!!!

My Cat HENRY always seem to wake me up at 6AM! Why because to him it is breakfast time.
He is known as the FAT CAT!!!! LOL..

Expresso!!!!! Know as AHHHHH!!!!

So I am not a morning person. It is better if I do not speak until at least 9am.. It seems Henry loves to wake me up with this really strong manly MEOW.....Not once but several several times until I get up and feed him..Around 6am..So I stumble out of bed, I am really not sure if my eyes are open are not..I do find the food, open it and put it into the bowl..I always seem to find my self back to the bed... Then maybe a little later I wake to the smell of the aroma!!

It does open my eyes, but still I do not speak until, I have the first cup..

Then guess what the big fat cat Henry is back in bed asleep and expects to be left alone so he can sleep all day!!!!!!! LOL>>>

So I thought since I really am not in the studio much lately. Life is part of our art..It gives us inspiration..

So I hope this gives you inspiration. Or at least a smile.

I hope soon I will be back in my studio.

TIME

This is just something I had in my studio in the stack of work that is called not sure!!!!! So since I have not had any time to work in my studio this week..I feel like I must share something.
This week has been the week to do other things that are necessary.. Go to the grocery store for my mom, clean her studio apartment.. I am cook, maid, waitress and Gardener, dog walker and what ever my mom can think of that has to be done NOW!!!! Then oh yes then there is my home and all that goes with that.. Very little time for my self and art..
On this piece it is done on water color paper and it is done with acrylic and ink. The color does not show up very good.. 15x20.. You will have to click on the picture to read the words and see it. Sorry the camera and the photographer not working very well together..LOL

Entanglement

12x20 mixed media on water color. I went into my studio today and sat down. I just picked up a bottle of Golden's paint which is my favorite. I put down a layer and let it dry and then more layers of different colors.. Then I just sat there again. Then I realized don't listen to the voice that keeps telling you , you can not be a artist..You have no talent..Look at all those people who have real talent. You need to get a real job..

Satan is real, he tries to make us not believe in our self..To feel trapped or entangled.

So I thought of so many people who feel this way in life..Caught like a bird in wire and can not fly.

I need not to listen to that and give God the glory of everything I do and believe him. He said I gave you life and I gave you talent and use it for my Glory.

So I shall, I am blessed, God is my creator and I am a artist..

So I am sorry if I have felt sorry for my self in the last post.. I should not complain, because there are so many more people out there that does not know love or realize God loves them.

He believes in you, so believe in your self.

Maybe a Little Greedy

4x4 on canvas. This past week I have only walked into my studio and just sat. I pick up paper, gesso canvas, lay things on my work table waiting for something to happen. It has not..

I walk the floor, I look at the window, I change the music.. Still nothing..It is so frustrating. I pick up my camera and looked through the lens and it all looks the same.

I suppose it just goes with our life..My mother is not having a good week. So I worry, and why because that is what I am good at..LOL... At least this week.

SALUTE the RED/WHITE AND BLUE

Born Into Royalty

This is a piece done on recycled paper in acrylic.
I have not been very creative this week. This fun piece just done for the laugh.
The story goes, so you will understand this. Monday my mother's sisters came for a visit. Since neither one can drive. Their children drove them. My mom's oldest sister is 95 and the middle sister is 92. OK, so my aunt Ruby is very hard of hearing, really I am not sure she can hear at all, but really to her it does not matter because she has always done all the talking and really does not care about your voice any way.. I say that in love..My aunt Jewel being the middle sister, to me is always the soft spoken and easy going. My mom was the baby girl.. So you know how the baby girls are.
Now they are all hard of hearing, everyone is talking very loud and all at once..You get the picture . LOL>. So us kids are comparing moms..So one of my cousins said we call mom Queen Jewel, because she always wants it now and and wants it her way.. The funny thing is we all laughed because all sisters are the same.. So we had three queens in one room.
The things is at their age they deserve to wear the crown and if God allows us to become their age then we can wear the crowns..

So I made this one for my dear cousins..If you read my blog you will see..Also I wanted to share this with the rest of the world.. So remember you may not be wearing the crown now but one day you will be in titled to the throne.
